It is a binding contract between the County and employer receiving the grant. The WDTG is to be used as an incentive to attract new jobs by offsetting the cost of training new employees. It is structured as a reimbursable program, for a specific dollar amount, spread over a certain number of years. Defined rules outline what training costs will be reimbursed. The company will be reimbursed for eligible expenses to pay for training costs, including instruction manuals, or to pay for in house trainers.
