Thursday, June 27, 2019

Violet Township has purchased the historic Wigwam retreat and it is open for community use. This beautiful property was previously the private retreat of the Wolfe family, owner of WBNS TV. It was initially built in 1929 and has been host to many exciting events and visitors over the years. Now, having been recently renovated, it is open to public use. Residents of Violet Township and the surrounding area can enjoy the Wigwam’s beauty, history and grandeur by reserving one of the several event spaces that are available for private use.

The Wigwam is an ideal destination for corporate events, meetings, retirement parties, weddings, regional community organizations, concerts, and film screenings. There are several event spaces including a theater that seats 303 and a banquet hall that can comfortably seat 450 people.

The banquet hall and theater is equipped with the latest technology

The Wigwam theater has been recently renovated and is equipped with the latest lighting and sound technology.  Four video screens have also been added to the banquet hall with the capability to simulcast presentations between the banquet hall and theater.  It is an ideal location for corporations looking to host annual meetings or training events, local theater groups, concert performers and producers looking to screen their latest film.
